The Story behind this:
So Halo Online was a announced about a month go. O that cool right a Halo game for the PC...wait....it....says....RUSSIA ONLY! So due to some stupid url tricks people got a early alpha version of the game by changing a download url from 4games.ru/lineage2.setup to 4games.ru/Halo-Online.setup/. So with that a loose team of modders figured out how to get into the game by loading maps and making it fun to play around in. BUT! they wanted more! Why let it be just yourself in a map alone why not figure out how to give people a multiplayer experience. So after 3 weeks of modding and mess around with old Halo 3 files that were buried in the Halo Online files. They used the old system link feature to create a LAN service to the game. People use programs such as Evolve a VLAN service with parties and chat which makes it a glorious better Hamachi. So now we have a version of Halo 3 for PC technically. Forge works in the game and multiplyer is easy to set up with the evolve client.

So with that now you probably have questions:
Q:How do i get this glorious thing i've been waiting ages for!?

Q:Do we have to use this Evolve program?
A: No you can use tunngle or hamachi but evolve is nicer.

Q:Do we need to use vlan programs?
A:They are working on a way to make it none vlan with direct ip

Q: You said forge works?! (4/25/15)
A: Yes and you can now save the modes and there is no more budget on the maps.

Q:Is this basically Halo 3?
A: Yes but there is sprint they need to remove and some different weapon models.

Q:Why Russia?!
A: Mircosoft hates money.

Q:Is this legal?
A: I dunno a modded Free 2 Play game seems weird it's up to your morale views

Q:Is there a lot lag while playing?
A:Some people have good connections others won't. I've had a pretty good experience so far. Evolve has party rooms for certain game regions.

Q:System Requirements?
A:If you can run games like League of Legends you should be able to run this well.

I've been having fun and lately they made all the gametypes working. the modders keep working on this til it's as close to Halo 3 as possible even with custom colors and armor modifications along with all the old maps.

a simple start a cmd prompt vpn it connects people to a some what master server to play it's one of the alternatives to Evolve just not chat or voice.
