ABOUT

Just a girl playing some games. Sometimes they're by myself, other times it's with thousands of people. For the most part, I play MMOs - in particular Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn (soon to be Heavensward) at a high level (looking to join a hardcore progression guild in the near future) and World of Warcraft (in which I usually just putz around or do beginners' raids with my boyfriend's guild). Otherwise I usually play well-known JRPGs, such as the Tales series or the rest of the Final Fantasy series, with some random larger series strewn around, like Grandia, Suikoden, Star Ocean, and the Xeno series of games.

I've been streaming for almost seven years off and on, on both Twitch and Hitbox. My usual strengths lie in informative gameplay and character/story analysis.

SCHEDULE (all times in EDT)

Depending on RL obligations (such as doctor's appointments, of which I have many), I usually start streaming around 11am-12pm almost every day with a break around 6:30pm-7:30pm for dinner and family time. This will be changing in the fall depending on my school schedule, but I still attempt to stream every day. If the stream doesn't start at the usual time, it will either start around 1pm, or will be around 8pm. Mondays are typically the usual culprit when I don't start on time (doctor's appointments), or if I'm sick.

Tweets will go out on my twitter account @SweetieAshe when a stream is starting or if a stream is delayed or cancelled.

RULES

1. Don't hate, love and tolerate. That means no mysogyny, racism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, or any other kind of bigoted comments. Cursing is all right, as long as it's kept at a minimum. I try not to curse on stream, so I would ask others to extend the same courtesy.
2. Keep it civil - related to rule 1. If you can't keep it positive, you can't keep it here. Though I understand that some people just have bad days, please do not lash out at others because of it.
3. "Best x game" conversations are fine, as long as rules 1 and 2 are followed. People have different tastes and that's okay!
4. No backseat gaming, unless asked. This especially holds true if it's a first playthrough. Suggestions are fine, however. Example of a suggestion is "I think you should try" or "Why not try" instead of saying "you should do this."
5. Links are fine, as long as they're not spammed (or spam, or screamers, or porn, or etc).

Yes because it wasn't Symphonia. And it also was Symphonia. Tons and tons of reused assets and music, the only new party members were Emil and Marta and no one liked them (Emil was a pushover and Marta was an Emil-oholic), it had shoehorned motion controls and the Wiimote is terrible for Tales (and then Graces happened)... I do know some people who liked it, though.

I get irrationally upset at the mention of Symphonia just because I'm so biased. A lot of hype surrounded it and when I played it I didn't particularly like the characters/story. Gameplay was good though.

Pre-ordered the physical Collector's Edition of Heavensward but I have no idea what the shipping is going to be like. More than likely the actual game will be on stream BEFORE I do an unboxing, but I will be doing an unboxing whenever the physical game gets here.

Symphonia found itself in that unfortunate and yet fortunate situation of being an RPG backed by a console maker. It would happen again with Vesperia and Microsoft, and the downside to insane hype, is that it can really just set a game up for disappointment if people buy into it and don't like Tales.
